Arrests made in  Mount Vernon fatal shooting and robberies

Mount Vernon police say a recent string of robberies and Monday's fatal shooting are connected.
They say a crew of four men are responsible for the murder of 24-year-old Trevon Boswell. The young father was shot and killed inside his apartment building on Washington Street.
Police have not disclosed a motive for the murder, but Boswell's mother believes her son was targeted.
"One of the guys knew him," said the victim’s mother, Pearl Sanders. "I asked police to check his phone, last phone call, last text, whatever, because there might be more to this."
Authorities say the same four men were involved in a series of robberies across the Hudson Valley, but it's not clear what led them to Boswell. The suspects were responsible for stealing cars, robbing businesses and terrorizing dozens of victims.
Police have already recovered thousands of dollars in cash and merchandise, along with two handguns.
Investigators say all four suspects have prior records and all will face murder charges.
