A Mount Vernon native is being called a hero Friday after he tackled the suspect accused of mowing down people in Times Square.
Mary and Leon Bradix are very proud of their son, Ken, for his heroic efforts. They say Ken texted them a picture Thursday, shortly after he tackled the suspect involved in the Times Square car crash. They say Ken was working security at Planet Hollywood and put his former wrestling skills to the test.
"Anything he'll do, he'll put his whole heart into it," says Mary Bradix.
Authorities say 26-year-old Richard Rojas, who was charged in the crash, told police he smoked marijuana laced with PCP before the crash.
Ken now lives in Brooklyn but often heads back to Mount Vernon to visit his parents.
