WC Democrats await results of county executive nominations

Westchester Democrats spent much of Wednesday night at the Westchester County Center voting to nominate the candidate who will take on County Executive Rob Astorino the November 2017 election.
The convention went so late that the committee decided to wait until Friday to count the votes.
County Legislator Ken Jenkins, state Sen. George Latimer and David Spano, the son of former Westchester County Executive Andy Spano, are all vying for the nomination.
The votes are expected to be counted Friday at the Democratic Headquarters in White Plains at 1 p.m.
