Building owner: Netflix responsible for additional snow removal

In the aftermath of Tuesday's storm, a battle is brewing between a White Plains building superintendent and the popular streaming service Netflix.

Izet Zabelaj, the super at 325 Main St., claims that when he went to bed Tuesday night, the sidewalk and driveways outside his building were perfectly clear after he spent 11 hours cleaning.

But when he awoke Wednesday, Zabelaj says there was an even larger snow mound present, and he is blaming Netflix for it.

Netflix is filming a movie across the street from Zabelaj's building and hired a private plower Wednesday to clear the road outside the set.

The streaming company did not return News 12's request for comment.

White Plains city officials say Netflix has been an excellent neighbor and acted in good faith. The company had even offered to plow other city blocks and a park for free.
