Dozens arrested in major Orange County drug trafficking ring

Dozens of people were rounded up this week in a major drug trafficking ring in Orange County.

Authorities made 34 arrests as part of a major narcotics bust dubbed "Operation Family Ties."

The investigation centered around a Newburgh apartment building called "Carson's Casino." Authorities say the takedown busted two networks of families trafficking narcotics from Newburgh to New York City.

Altogether, hundreds of grams of cocaine, heroin, PCP and marijuana were seized, along with $100,000 in cash and two stolen firearms.

Officials say three suspects are still at large in this case and say at least one of them is considered armed and dangerous.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 845-344-5300.

As News 12 was reporting this story on Thursday, a man came up to the crew car outside of 170 Carson St. cursing while throwing eggs and snow.
