'Match Day' held at New York Medical College

Graduating New York Medical College students gathered Friday to find out where they will be spending the next few years in residency training.

A residency will mark the next chapter in the medical careers of the more than 200 graduates of the Valhalla school as they choose their specialization.

Student Miguel Alexis was matched to the Thoracic Surgery department of Hofstra University's School of Medicine.

"I always like to keep my emotions inside, but it's definitely a dream come true," he says.

The future doctors still have several months of study to go, but come summer, they will officially be starting their careers.
