Report details quality-of-life, economic issues for WC women

Community organizers say that while Westchester is one of the richest counties in the country, women are being left behind.

The Westchester Women's Agenda released a report detailing quality-of-life and economic issues faced by women.

It found women of modest means are too often faced by difficult choices, including the decision to pay for child care or rent. They say pay disparity is also an issue, although New York is better than any other state.

Researchers say the pay gap, among other issues, is even worse for women of color.

They are hoping the findings will initiate a bigger conversation among lawmakers on how to fix these issues.
