4th-graders take oath to eat healthy in Ossining

Over 100 Claremont Elementary School fourth-graders took a solemn oath Wednesday to eat healthier.

The event was part of Eat Healthy Day New York and was organized by the nonprofit Food Bank for Westchester.

The day included games, where students were challenged to identify nutritious snacks versus junk food. They also learned what to eat to stay focused and active during the school day.

At the end of the day, every student recited a healthy eating oath and was given their very own certificate of achievement.
