Dobbs Ferry 81-year-old evicted from home

A Dobbs Ferry octogenarian was evicted Wednesday from the home where she's lived for the past 50 years.

Susan McCormick, 81, is an accomplished concert pianist. But banks and the town foreclosed on her $1 million property years ago, and country police finally evicted her at the end of court proceedings.

"I'm not a criminal, but there are others involved who are criminals," McCormick tells News 12. "Not on my side, the other side."

She says she hasn't paid her mortgage or taxes for years, but she blames the bank for squandering her late husband's fortune and her lawyers for failing her in court.

"Five attorneys, I spent $1.5 million on attorneys, and what do they do? They get bought," she says.
