Police: Dutchess County man arrested for threatening police officer

A man was arrested Friday for allegedly threatening police with a box cutter.



Officials say Mark Tomkins threatened a sheriff's deputy and a state troopers after they responded to a call on Lake Drive in Putnam Valley.



They say Tomkins resisted arrest and had to be subdued.



Tomkins is facing multiple charges including menacing a police officer.
