Treatment facility for teens with eating disorders to open in Briarcliff Manor

A facility to treat teen girls who suffer from eating disorders is set to open in Briarcliff Manor.

Clementine Briarcliff Manor will be located on Pine Road, next to the Trump National Golf Club.

The clients will range in age from 12 to 17 years old, and will receive 24-hour monitoring while living there for an average of two to three months.

Some will be referred by their doctors, and others will be accepted for treatment at their parents' request.

The facility is set to open sometime this month, with the plan to help eight girls achieve normal, healthy lives.

A number of neighbors were initially opposed to the facility, citing traffic and declining property values among their concerns.
