Neuhaus lays out vision for Orange County's future in address

Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus laid out his vision for the future in his State of the County address delivered Thursday night in Goshen.

Tourism was one of the biggest topics, with Norwegian Air set to soon begin taking off from Stewart International Airport.

Job creation is also on the rise, according to Neuhaus. Sullivan County's casino is slated to get up and running early next year, and Neuhaus says at least 600 people from Orange County will be working there.

There's also a plan to introduce more treatment options for those suffering from opioid addiction. Orange County currently has only one methadone clinic.

Neuhaus also says unemployment rates have been slashed, the homeless population has been reduced and infrastructure has been improved.
