Funeral held for founder of White Plains church

Members of a White Plains church gathered to say a final goodbye to their founder and long-time leader.

A funeral was held Saturday morning for Bishop Stanley Allen, the founder of the Full Gospel Christian Fellowship Church.

The bishop died last month after a long illness. He was 86.

Bishop Allen was born and raised in Jamaica. He was married for 57 years and had four children.

Parishioners say Bishop Allen will be remembered for building his church from the ground up, something he envisioned for most of his life.
