Police hunt for gunman in Mount Vernon shooting

Police intensified their hunt Tuesday for the gunman who shot and injured a 20-year-old man in Mount Vernon.

Police say Donovan McQueen was shot multiple times in the thigh and hip around 3:30 p.m. Monday near 110 South Fourth Ave. He was hospitalized and is expected to be OK.

Investigators say bullets also hit numerous vehicles, including the windshield of a FedEx truck. No other injuries were reported.

As part of their investigation, police will likely look at images from a surveillance camera at the corner of South Fourth Avenue, directly across from where the shooting happened.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Mount Vernon Police Department's Detective Division.
