Warm spring temps get people outdoors

Many people throughout the Hudson Valley hit the outdoors Tuesday as temperatures reached 80 degrees in some areas.

At Glen Island Park in New Rochelle, the summer-like warmth spurred people to have picnics, ride bikes and simply hang out by the water.

Benjamin Velez, 8, improvised a soccer match using a basketball. He said the zoo was packed, so he went to the park to play outdoors with his brother.

Temperatures Wednesday are expected to top out at 71 degrees. Daytime highs will settle in the low-60s for the remainder of the week.
