Nuns hope to raise $7M for St. Joseph's Adult Care Home

The nuns who run a senior home in Sloatsburg are attempting to raise $7 million to expand and become an assisted living facility.

Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate, who have been running the St. Joseph's Adult Care Home for the last 75 years, want to use the money to add 19 more bedrooms with private bathrooms. It would bring their capacity from 31 to 50.

They also need to expand the dining room and add more laundry facilities, along with other upgrades.

The sister's set up a GoFundMe page but are still a long way from their goal.
