Boyce Thompson site near completion in northwest Yonkers

The multimillion-dollar makeover of the once-abandoned Boyce Thompson site is almost complete in northwest Yonkers.

The site, located at the corner of Executive Boulevard, has been transformed into a modern multi-use complex.

"I think it puts a building that that's been out of use for almost 40 years back onto the tax rolls. There will be 250 jobs created here," says Guy Leibler, president of Simone Healthcare Development.

Those jobs will likely be coming from the medical offices, retail stores and restaurants like Fortina, which are all tenants at the 85,000-square-foot facility.

The building is scheduled to open May 23. The developer tells News 12 that the Boyce Thompson project will come in ahead of schedule and on budget.

Starbucks has also signed on as a tenant at the new complex.
