White Plains church mourns victims of Palm Sunday bombings in Egypt

While Christians around the world celebrated Easter Sunday, the doors remained shut at the Virgin Mary and Saint Demiana Church in White Plains.

The Coptic Orthodox Church canceled its Easter celebration in solidarity with its church family in Egypt.

As News 12 previously reported, 45 people were killed in last Sunday's bombings at two Coptic churches in Egypt.

The church held its Easter liturgy Saturday instead, with the congregation pooling money to help out the families of the victims of those bombings.
