Valhalla Central SD teacher arrested on drug charges

A teacher in the Valhalla Central School District teacher has been arrested on drug charges, according to school officials.
Superintendent Dr. Brenda Myers stated in an email to parents that Greenburgh police charged Gjon Krasnici with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Police won't confirm what the substance was, but multiple sources tell News 12 it was likely heroin.
Krasnici was an elementary school teacher at Virginia Road School for over a decade.
Many parents say they were shocked when they received the email this weekend.
“The guy looks always sober, always jovial, smiling, happy,” said Mahari Davis, of White Plains.
The school district is in the process of making arrangements for Krasnici's students for the rest of the school year.
