A large crowd came out for the grand opening of the newest location of Balducci's on South Ridge Street in Rye Brook on Friday.
Balducci's is a gourmet food retailer with several locations in the country.
The grand opening of the Hudson Valley’s version of the popular food market offered customer giveaways, tastings and food demonstrations.
The management team says it has hired mostly local workers who will contribute to the local economy.
The store has 74 employees, but is planning to hire more cooks, deli workers and cashiers.
