Violence strikes again at notorious Galleria Mall parking garage

Violence struck again at the Galleria Mall parking garage in White Plains, which is the same place a woman was murdered in 2005.

According to police, a 19-year-old White Plains man was slashed at the city-owned municipal lot next to the Galleria Mall around 5 p.m. Tuesday. Police say the victim was on the third floor of the garage when he got into a confrontation with other teens and was slashed in the face.

In June 2005, Connie Russo Carrierro was stabbed to death in the same parking lot by convicted sex offender Philip Grant, who said he wanted to kill a white woman. Grant was convicted last year. Anyone with information on the recent slashing is asked to contact White Plains police at 914-422-6200.
