Chappaqua's Sen. Clinton stumps in make-or-break state of Iowa

Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) made her first stop on the campaign trail Saturday at the make-or-break state of Iowa, where the first presidential primary is held.
Clinton first met with state Democrats at the party?s headquarters. Then it was on to a high school gymnasium for a town hall-style meeting with more than 1,500 people. The Chappaqua resident says she learned the lesson of the last two presidential campaigns, both lost by Democrats who responded slowly to criticism. The former first lady talked about education, universal health care, the energy crisis and other issues at the forefront of her campaign.
Clinton, who announced her candidacy last weekend, faces an uphill battle in the Hawkeye state. Right now Iowa polls show her trailing Illinois Senator Barack Obama, former vice-presidential candidate John Edwards, and former Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack.
