Brewster mom pleads not guilty to driving drunk with daughter in car
A Brewster mom accused of driving drunk with her child in the back seat pleaded not guilty to all charges Monday.
Police say 44-year-old Nancy Connally, of Brewster Heights, had a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit while her 7-year-old daughter sat in the back seat of her SUV last Friday. Connally pleaded not guilty to driving while intoxicated (DWI) and child endangerment charges in Brewster Village Court, and had to surrender her license. Connally's defense attorney says the alcohol reading must have been wrong, and will attempt to prove it so at her next scheduled appearance in the case Monday, February 5.
Connally will return to court earlier, on Wednesday, January 31, to ask the judge for a hardship license that will allow her to drive herself to a treatment program.
