Winter's wrath forces Westchester highway crews to work around the clock
Winter?s late snow arrival came with freezing rain forcing Westchester?s highway crews to work around the clock to keep the roads clear.
Many residents took the advice of forecasters to stay home, leaving the roads mostly clear for crews to clean up. Trucks were out Tuesday preparing the roads with a mixture of salt and brine so snow and ice would not stick. However, Mother Nature still made the roads treacherous for drivers.
Highway crews will continue working through the evening to make sure roads are passable for the morning commute.
