Bedford Hills man accused of boozing up teen, riding shotgun on joy ride

Police say a Bedford Hills man had a dangerous influence on a teenager and now both are facing serious charges.

According to police, 39-year-old Denis Amoruso supplied alcohol to an 16-year-old Goldens Bridge boy then allowed the teen to take a spin in his 2006 Mustang in January. Police say the teen smashed the car into a guard rail on Cross River Road in Katonah around 10:30 p.m. Police say another teen was in the car with Amoruso at the time.

Amoruso was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child on February 15. The teen driver was charged with DWI, driving without a license and leaving scene of accident. Police have not said what kind of relationship Amoruso had with the two boys.
