New Rochelle H.S. student struck by car on way to school

A New Rochelle High School student was seriously injured Friday after she was struck by a car on her way to school.
According to police, 15-year-old Imani Goodlott was walking at the intersection of Mayflower and Clinton avenues around 7 a.m. when she was hit. Police say Goodlott was apparently listening to music and may not have seen the car coming. They say the driver tried to avoid hitting Goodlott, but was unable to.
The 10th-grader was taken to Jacobi Medical Center. She suffered a skull fracture, broken collar bone and broken arm. She is listed in serious but stable condition.
