Turf war to blame for Yonkers fatal shooting, police say
Police say a turf war is to blame for a man being gunned down in broad daylight on a busy Yonkers street.
Police say 25-year-old Harry Chandler was fatally shot Friday on Palisades Avenue around 12:30 p.m. Detectives are questioning people at the Shlobaum Housing Complex, which is right across the street from where the shooting occurred. Police say Chandler was from Mulford Gardens, another housing complex in the city, and that residents from the two places don?t get along.
Chandler?s family members say his death is the result of a long-standing feud between him and someone else. Anyone with information is asked to contact Yonkers detectives at 914-377-7725.
