The city of New Rochelle is getting some unwanted publicity on the Internet as an easy place to score marijuana.

Webehigh.com, which is based in Tel Aviv, Israel, claims to be the travelers' guide to getting high. The site assigns various cities worldwide with a rating based on how easy it is to obtain pot.

The site gives New Rochelle a four out of five, with one being the most difficult place to score. Webehigh.com cites lenient law enforcement for the problem. Iona College student Damion Joseph agrees, saying he knows many people who buy and smoke pot in New Rochelle.

However, others say the distinction gives the city a bad name. The New Rochelle Police Department shared that sentiment. The mayor released a statement saying, "We take all narcotics laws seriously. We are not going to legitimize unsubstantiated findings from an obscure Web site produced from 6,000 miles away."

Larchmont and Mamaroneck were also included on the site, which lists 540 cities.
