Brain surgery for teen linked to New Rochelle riot

A teenager underwent brain surgery after apparently being assaulted during the Easter Sunday riot at a New Rochelle hot spot.

New Roc City was the scene of a melee after almost 1,000 teens descended on the complex. Police were called to deal with the over crowding. The teens were evacuated and headed to the train station in what is being called a chaotic scene. It is believed the 16-year-old suffered his brain injury at the train station.Police arrested six people for their role in the riot. As a result of the melee, New Roc City will implement new security measures.
