Mamaroneck classes resume amid contingency plan
The nor'easter did damage to the Mamaroneck Avenue Elementary School, but kids were able to have classes Wednesday with a little help.
All schools in Mamaroneck are back to their regular routines expect for the elementary school, where a contingency plan was put into motion. Mamaroneck High School, Hommocks Middle School and Saint Thomas Church made room for the elementary school students at the three locations. Several buses were brought in to take the kids to the designated schools.The Mamaroneck Avenue Elementary School gym took on more than 10 feet of water. Crews are working to clean up now that power has been restored. School officials hope to have the school reopened Thursday.
