Funeral for man shot execution style in Mt. Vernon

Friends and family gathered in New Rochelle Tuesday to mourn a young man whose life was cut short by violence.
With heavy hearts, mourners said goodbye to 20-year-old Reginald Rogers who was shot execution style on the streets of Mount Vernon last week. Friends remembered a fun-loving man who had plans to go to college.
There was extra security on hand at the funeral in reaction to the recent spate of violence. Just days after Rogers' murder, two 17-year-olds were shot in broad daylight in Mount Vernon. One teen died as a result of his injuries.
As friends mourned Rogers, the funeral was also a call to citizens to make sure the violence stops. To view more footage of the funeral, go to channel 612 on your iO digital cable box and click on iO Extra.
