Police say Yonkers woman assaulted by fake cops

Four men posing as New York City police officers sexually assaulted a Yonkers woman after bursting into her apartment, police say. Police say the suspects, who claimed to be looking for drugs, also stole electronics and jewelry before fleeing the scene. Thomas Worrell, who has lived in the building for 25 years, describes the victim and her companion, who was present during the incident, as nice, friendly people. Worrell says he wonders how the suspects got into the building since all visitors need to be buzzed in. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Yonkers police at 377-7724.
