Rye student drowns in CT pool over weekend
Connecticut police are investigating the death of a Westchester student who drowned at his Connecticut home over the weekend.
Six-year-old Zachary Archer Cohn, a student of Rye Country Day School, died Saturday after police say he got his arm stuck in an underwater pool drain. The boy was unconscious when rescue crews arrived, but police say he was pronounced dead at Greenwich Hospital that evening.
Medical examiners have ruled the death an accidental drowning.
Authorities are presently trying to figure out what led to the incident. The boy?s parents and siblings were home at the time of the drowning, and neighbors said Cohn knew how to swim.
