Attack near church, gunfire keep Yonkers cops busy

? Police are investigating three acts of violence that occurred on the streets of Yonkers Sunday including gunshots and a beating in front of a church.

Earlier Sunday morning, police say they were driving by the Latin American Pentecostal Church on New Main Street when they witnessed an attack. Authorities say four teens were robbing and beating up a 19-year-old man.

The victim is expected to recover.

Around 4 a.m., police responded to a call of gunshots being fired on Prescott Street. Detectives say they recovered evidence that a weapon was fired. Elvis Santana, 25, and his 18-year-old brother Christian Santana are being questioned by police. Three of their friends were also brought in for questioning.

Their father, Ricky Santana, says his sons did not have any guns and he maintains neighbors heard the sounds of firecrackers. He also claims police busted out a window while illegally searching his home.

Later Sunday night, a 22-year-old man was shot in the neck and stomach around 5:45 p.m. Police say the victim was one of five men involved in a fight earlier in the day. An 11-year-old boy was grazed by a bullet in the incident and was taken to St. Joseph?s Hospital with minor injuries.
