Students in Hastings evacuated during bomb scare

(09/24/07) HASTINGS ? Students in Hastings were shuffled in and out of class Monday morning after someone called in a bomb threat during a scheduled fire drill.

Students at Hastings High School and Hastings Middle School initially left the building for the fire drill. Once they returned, they were forced to leave again because of the bomb threat.

After about a half hour of waiting on the off-campus football field, police gave the OK for the teens to return.

The two schools were also evacuated in May during another bomb scare.

Police say they didn?t find anything suspicious during their search. They are investigating the incident.
