The owner of a Dobbs Ferry pizza place was arrested Tuesday and accused of cooking up a counterfeit money business.
Investigators say 39-year-old Frank Donato was making the bills out of his pizza and ice cream shop. The Brick Oven Pizza Shop and Frankie?s Homemade Ice Cream is located on Main Street. The father of three was arrested after a lengthy investigation by the Secret Service, Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force and Dobbs Ferry detectives.
During the bust, investigators seized computers, printing equipment, cutting devices and $6,000 in counterfeit cash. Police say Donato is charged with 16 counts of forgery. However, he could also face federal charges.
