Pelham holds its first Walk to School Day

Kids in Pelham Wednesday were taking part in the village's first Walk to School Day.The event was held to urge students to get their minds and bodies energized before entering the classroom. The village painted new cross walks and added new stop lights and stop signs to make sure students had an easy walk.Students that spoke with News 12 Westchester said they thought Walk to School Day was a good idea. They said everyone could use the exercise and that many students live nearby their school, so it would not be too far of a walk.
