Bargain shoppers arrive early for big-tickets items

Bargain shoppers lined up early to get discounted big-tickets items on Black Friday.

Woodbury Commons in Orange County opened its doors at midnight for those looking to get a real head start on their holiday shopping. At some points there was a two-hour wait just to get into the parking lot.

Meanwhile, people lined up at 10 p.m. Thursday night to be one of the first to get their hands on discounted items at the Wal-Mart in White Plains. Shoppers showed up with coffee and blankets throughout the night.

Some of the big-ticket items that are selling fast are LCD-HDTVs, navigation systems and computers. Many parents were also out looking for bargains on toys.
