Water main break closes White Plains City Hall

Up to 8 feet of water flooded the basement of White Plains City Hall over the weekend forcing the building to close Monday.A worker discovered the flood around 7:30 a.m. Monday. Crews have been able to pump out about 4 feet of water. Workers are trying to find the exact location of the break so it can be repaired. Con Edison crews are also on the scene and power to the building has been shut off. City offices are expected to reopen by Tuesday.
