Travelers experienced smooth flying at Westchester County Airport on Christmas Eve.
Many flying into and out of the airport had an easier time than travelers whose flights were disrupted by high winds Sunday. Most of Monday's flights were on time.
Officials expect traffic to pick up Christmas Day. "We're expecting some heavy traffic tomorrow morning, but we'll probably ? end up going back to normal around noon," said terminal supervisor Doug Byrne.
However, there were a few delays Monday. "We're looking at getting into Indianapolis at 11 this evening," said a frustrated traveler. "We've been here since 5 a.m."For interviews with travelers, go to channel 612 on your iO digital cable box and select iO Extra.
