A Peekskill church held a special Christmas luncheon Tuesday for members of the community.The event was hosted by members of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Members of the church said the intent is to provide a warm holiday meal for the less fortunate that might not have anywhere else to go.Some of those that attended the luncheon told News 12 they were glad they attended. One guest stressed the food was excellent, the people were nice and he was thankful to have been made to feel so welcome.The luncheon has a very special meaning for some of the volunteers. Some of them said at one time they were the ones being served and that it's important for them to feel they are giving back to the community.
