Bomb scare cancels classes, activities at John Jay H.S.
A bomb scare sent students at John Jay High School home early Wednesday and forced the cancellation of all after-school activities.
Bomb-sniffing dogs searched cars driven by students and staff as they left the campus early in Cross River. The building and bags inside the building were also searched.
Students said the threat was in a note found by a student and given to a teacher.
?Our teacher was given a note and she called the principal and they had to look into it and then we were evacuated from the building and brought down to the middle school,? said John Jay High School senior Rachel Ursitti.
According to the Katonah-Lewisboro School District Web site, the high school campus will be completely shut down until Thursday morning.
