Winter storm packs a wallop in Westchester

The winter storm that hit Westchester Friday left up to 8 inches of snow blanketing parts of the county by the time it ended. Many accidents reported were throughout the county, though officials say the situation could have been a lot worse had more schools been in session. Many schools had the week off for February break, and many parents likely took off from work as well.
The storm was the opposite of most snowfalls, with the southern half of the county getting hit harder than the northern parts. Snow and freezing rain are expected to continue into Saturday.
