A man who pleaded guilty in a deadly crash and who many feared was a flight risk returned to federal court in White Plains Thursday after a judge allowed him to leave the state.

Mohd Shreqein, 21, admitted to being high on cough medicine in March 2007 when his car crossed the double yellow lines in Yonkers. Shreqein?s vehicle hit another car head-on, killing 87-year-old Anthony Viero. Shrequin pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide.

Three weeks ago, a judge allowed Shrequin to go to Indiana to visit his father before being sentenced. Viero?s family members feared Shreqein, a Jordanian national, would not return to Westchester.

Shrequin is scheduled to be sentenced on March 11.
