Greenburgh police seek driver from fatal hit-and-run

Police are searching for the driver from a fatal hit-and-run accident Saturday morning.

Police say Manuel Guaman Saca, a Hispanic immigrant, was walking along Route 9A when he was struck. Saca was less than half a mile away from his home.

A truck driver spotted the body after the crash. Authorities are looking for a badly damaged blue car.

Saca's family members say life was looking up for the man, who had been suffering while trying to find a job. His son recently got him work packaging newspapers.

Greenburgh police are imploring anyone with information on the accident to call them at 682-5331.
