3 Yonkers students arrested in school stabbing

Police have arrested three students after a Gorton High School student was stabbed inside a classroom Tuesday morning in an apparent revenge attack. Police say at around 9 a.m. the victim was confronted by three male students, 17-year-old Andre Peart, 16-year-old Gregory Freckleton and another 15-year-old student who is not being identified. According to police, the four boys went into an empty classroom to fight and the victim was stabbed in the back.
Police say the victim was rushed to a hospital by ambulance. His injuries are not life-threatening. The three suspects ran away after the attack, but were arrested a short time later on school grounds. The school was on lockdown while police searched for the three teens.
Police believe the incident stems from a fight over a cell phone that occurred off campus Monday afternoon. Peart and Freckleton are facing assault charges. The 15-year-old is facing juvenile delinquency charges.
