Police chase starts and ends with a crash
An early-morning police chase on the Bronx River Parkway started and ended with a crash Monday and resulted in a slew of charges for the suspect.
Greenburgh police say the chase started at around 5:30 a.m. when a car, driven by 19-year-old Curtis Leon, was spotted driving on the wrong side of the road. Leon then hit a patrol car, injuring an officer, according to police.
In the process of the chase, a Greenburgh officer apparently also ran into a guardrail on the Bronx River Parkway. That officer only received minor injuries.
It all came to an end when Leon crashed his car on the parkway in Scarsdale. Police say drugs were found in the car and that Leon has seven outstanding license suspensions.
