Rye school closes due to swine flu fears

A Rye school will be closed for two weeks due to swine flu fears.The Rye Country Day School decided to close after two students were told they have probable cases of swine flu.County health officials said they made the closing recommendation since the two students were in contact with a large number of other students at the school. Two other probable cases of swine flu were reported in Rye Middle School. According to health officials, the patients have mild flu-like symptoms and have not been hospitalized.All extracurricular activities at Rye Country Day School are canceled and students are being urged not to gather in groups larger than five.
