Swine flu suspect now recovered

The mother of a 25-year-old Tuckahoe man who is considered a swine flu suspect says her son is now on the mend after coming down with the potentially deadly virus.
Francis Mateo says her son, Fernando Mateo, spent spring break in Mexico. She says that when he returned home April 27, he became very ill.
Health officials say the 25-year-old Tuckahoe man is considered a probable case of the H1N1 virus. Doctors at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla advised Fernando Mateo to stay home for five days "until symptoms resolve."
Francis Mateo says despite her early worries, her son is now fully recovered.
"Yes, I was concerned," she says. "But he's fine."
