150 gallons of fuel spills onto NYS Thruway
Hazmat crews and firefighters descended on the New York State Thruway Tuesday morning after 150 gallons of diesel fuel spilled onto the side of the road.
Police and Thruway officials say a fuel tank on a tractor-trailer sprang a leak, triggering a major spill and the shutdown of two southbound lanes near the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets by Exit 16.
Officials say no fuel spilled into the nearby Ramapo River.
